Our Staff enjoys getting to know all of our members.  We are always happy to help get the information that you need.  With over 450 members it is a pleasure to work with so many great companies.  The events that WCCA sponsors gives us a chance to associate and get to know our members.

With calling Colorado home, Shawna has been an advocate and resident of Western Colorado since 1989. She has worked with several organizations, committees, and regional boards including the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, CLUB 20, Western Colorado Community College, Colorado Mesa University, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Western Slope CAMA, Colorado Space Business Roundtable and the Grand Junction Lions Club. Her belief is that Western Colorado has a voice in the construction industry and opportunities for growth through WCCA. Outside of work, Shawna enjoys outdoor sports, spending time with her daughters and helping with community needs.

Kim Colton

Members Consultant
In 2006, Kim Colton accepted the Members Consultant position with WCCA. Born and raised in Denver, CO. She and husband Jeff Colton moved to the Grand Valley in 1999. Jeff Colton is a Senior Meteorologist for the National Weather Service. Married for 20 years they are the proud parents of 2 lovely daughters’; Heather (22) a Senior at CMU, majoring in Graphic Design/Animation, and Heidi (18) a Freshman also at CMU. Kim has provided the “Spirit Express” Dance Team with fundraising support, and has enjoyed attending competitive events with her daughters. In her role, Kim diligently searches various resources for project plans and details. Kim is a “people” person who “really enjoys getting to know members and likes helping find what they need for their projects”.

Duncan McArthur

Duncan McArthur was born in Carbon County, Utah moved with his family to Denver when he was 5 years old. Attended the University of Colorado and the University of Northern Colorado where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a Management Emphasis. Duncan started working summers at the age of 15 constructing concrete foundations before working in the consumer finance industry while attending college. After graduating, Duncan soon joined U.S. Home Corporation as a management trainee in the land development operation. Duncan moved up through the ranks to Land Development Division President working on land acquisition and development in operations in thirty-two different markets in ten states. In 1993, Duncan formed Catalina Bros., Inc. In 2004, Duncan relocated to Grand Junction, CO. Having always had an interest in politics and government’s impact on the development process, Duncan joined the Western Colorado Contractors Association, and Grand Junction Area REALTORS Association to share information for both organizations.

Linda Smith

In 2000, Linda Smith accepted the position as Executive Director of WCCA. Raised in Palisade, Linda is Grand Valley native. She and husband Paul currently farm acreage North West of Grand Junction. And Linda feels very blessed to have two beautiful stepdaughters and five grandchildren. Linda has a passion for the construction industry and is thrilled when WCCA Members are awarded projects. She has been involved in a number of organizations’ throughout the years; most recently serving on the Board of Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County, and the Western Slope Honor Flight, responsible for sending more than 500 local WWII Veterans to Washington D.C. to see their Memorial. “Thank You, for being a member of WCCA”, says Linda.
