Built for the Future provides an exciting opportunity for local construction professionals and High School students to come together for a day of hands-on learning and experience. Students get the chance to ask questions, test out their skills and learn what goes into each facet of the construction industry.

At our 2024 event we had over 159 students and 16 presenters out for an eventful day of construction including welding with Plumbers and Pipefitters #145, wiring with IBEW Electrician Professionals, heavy equipment operation with Mountain Valley Contracting, framing with FCI, and locating utilities with Colorado 811.

This year we are expecting to see over 250 high school students at Built for the Future who are all involved in the Careers in Construction program at their high school. This is a great opportunity for companies and organizations to help give students hands-on experience and a lasting impression in construction careers.

Presenters:

With more students attending the event we are also looking for more presenters to allow all the students to experience different fields. Our focus is to provide hands-on, interactive activities for the students to allow them to get a true image of what types of jobs are available to them after high school. Presenters are scheduled for (6) 15-minute time slots (longer times available) with groups of (10)15 students led by a construction professional. The small groups allow time for each student to get the time needed to explore/ enjoy the presentation in front of them and ask questions. Our focus is to provide hands-on, interactive activities for the students to allow them to get a true image of what types of jobs are available to them after high school. With the help of sponsors and in-kind donations we will be providing this opportunity for our professional companies at no charge! Sign up in the link below to reserve your spot!

Sponsors:

Sponsors are needed to help offset the costs of this event and provide a memorable experience for the students. Sponsors are recognized in all related promotional materials whether it is a monetary or an in-kind donation. Sponsorships will offset costs for the event including student lunches and backpacks for each student. We hope to fill each backpack with the necessary PPE wear, handout information from local companies and schools, and job placement resources. Built for the Future is actively accepting items and information for backpacks as well as in kind donations of safety equipment the students may keep (ie: ear plugs).
