Revised standard special provision: Required Contract Provisions Federal-Aid Construction Contracts. This revision changed the previous FHWA Form 1273 (dated May 1, 2012), with the revised FHWA Form 1273, dated July 5, 2022. This specification is effective on all federal-aid construction projects advertised on or after September 6, 2022.

 

Revised M Standard Plan: M-412-2 Concrete Pavement Crack Repair. The revised M Standard added sheets 5 and 6 with details on how to remove and replace concrete slabs in roadways. The new Project Special Detail is to be used on locations where cuts of existing dowel bars are prohibited.

This will be applicable on all projects advertised on or after October 6, 2022.

 

New Standard Special Provision: Revision of Section 518 – Modular Joint Testing This provision revised Subsection 518.05 (a). Effective on projects that will be advertised on or after October 7, 2022.

 

New Standard Special Provision: Revision of Section 601 – Class DF Concrete. Added information to Subsection 601.02 and Table 601-1. Effective on projects that will be advertised on or after October 7, 2022.

 

New Standard Special Provision: Revision of Section 105 – Control of Work (105.20). This provision revised paragraphs 4, 5 and 6 of Subsection 105.20. Effective on projects that will be advertised on or after October 17, 2022.

 

New Materials Bulletin: 2023 Field Materials Manual Update, The purpose of this bulletin is to notify that the “OA FREQUENCY GUIDE SCHEDULE for Minimum Materials Testing, Sampling and Inspection” was revised to show the wording for Item 412, Portland Cement Concrete Pavement Compressive Strength was updated to match Standard Specification 412.13(b).
