Serving our Members Since 1948!

WCCA was established in 1948 with six local contractors: Tom McCall, Art Phipps, Art Gilbert, Maurice Gardner, Carl Polland and one other. The association was the result of these contractors getting together to discuss their common issues on the Western Slope of Colorado, and continues to be a local contractor organization today. The contractors would sometimes meet on Friday afternoon to discuss issues for the common good in the building industry, and would occasionally invite speakers such as the building inspector or planning department members to discuss issues and needs. The group was made up from the majority of the local general contractors in the Grand Junction area at the time. After meeting for a while, they decided they needed a common voice and formed the association.

BRAD KELLER • FCI CONSTRUCTORS, INC.

WCCA is a great organization for all contractors to join for the many benefits including networking opportunities, employee education opportunities and a voice/advocate in the many political arenas that affect the industry…not to mention the fun events that are offered.

JESSE NELSON • SORTER CONSTRUCTION, INC.

WCCA was established to better serve the construction community. It was a collaboration of the Contractors at that time to create greater communication amongst its members and the community. It continues to show what can be accomplished by working together as a unit!
