Jacob Davis | Board President 2026

United Companies

Jacob Davis has grown up in the construction industry on the Western Slope and is currently an estimator and project manager for United Companies. As a Board member he is involved with efforts guiding young adults to the construction industry, showing what the industry has to offer for career paths, and creating avenues to reach the younger generations in order to help reduce the labor shortage the industry is facing. He considers himself to be well organized, detail oriented, and able to work well with others. With this skill set he hopes to work with other board members to reinforce current methods and to create new ideas to reach the younger generations entering the work force.

David Hillbrand | Board Vice President 2026

Rodco Concrete

I am a native Coloradan, and I have lived on the western slope for nearly 30 years. I have a degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Over the course of my career, I have been involved with numerous heavy civil, industrial and commercial construction projects throughout Colorado. I have been fortunate to have worked with and for some extremely knowledgeable people and companies over the past 3 decades. It is these relationships with people that bind our industry and in particular, our construction community in western Colorado. Our industry continually faces new challenges that can best be handled through the collaborative efforts of groups such as WCCA. While many of the challenges we face are the same throughout our region, my past experiences in the mountain communities of Colorado may offer some unique perspectives on the issues that we face today and in the future.

Cori Elam | Board Member

Asphalt Specialists & Supply, Inc.

Cori obtained a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management and ran restaurants for over 20 years. She has been active in the construction business for 10 years in addition to growing up in a construction family her whole life. Cori feels it is important for the construction companies in Western Colorado to have a unified voice that will be heard and the ability to fight for the members that might not be able to fight for the construction industry on their own. She believes there is strength in numbers, but those numbers need to be organized. She communicates well, is organized, a good listener to businesses, and is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She also throws a good party bringing members together. Cori is an active member of the community and has been a part of Kiwanis for several years.

Megan Lawson| Board Member

DWC CPAs and Advisors

Megan graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2021 with her Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting and her Master of Business Administration. Sincer her senior year, she has been employed by DWC CPA’s and Advisors, initially as an intern, and then was brought on full-time after graduation. She is a Tax Senior at her firm and assists in the preparation of a multitude pf return types, including individuals, businesses, trusts and estates, and most prevalently nonprofits. She believes her experience as a tax professional, and specifically with her understanding of nonprofits and accounting would help serve WCCA. She was recently inspired by a colleague and former classmate from their experiences of service on local boards and it was an amazing opportunity to connect with people and help the community. Her dad was also familiar with WCCA, so when the opportunity was available, it “felt like the stars had aligned”. She can provide accounting insight and always be able to present WCCA in an accurate light. One item she most enjoys preparing returns for nonprofits is that she is presenting financial and accounting data, but also helping the organizations show the community what they are doing, how they are serving their mission and helping to shine the spotlight on all they are involved in.
